All children on the morning session will have lunch at nursery and a healthy packed lunch must be provided from home.
If you child attends Breakfast Club, 8am to 9.00am, the nursery will provide a breakfast of toast or cereal and fruit which will be served between 8am and 8.30am.
The nursery is open all year around, with the exception of Christmas week, Bank Holidays and occasional inset days.
Fees
Fees are shown in the table above and are payable weekly/monthly in advance, or directly into the nursery’s bank account (please ask for details). Fees are payable throughout the year, even when your child is on holiday or absent due to illness. Exceptions are Bank Holidays and days when the nursery is closed i.e. Christmas week. Please speak with our Business Manager if you experience any financial difficulties.
Funding
Fully Funded Offer of 30 hours – Children can attend WDN on Monday to Friday afternoons 1pm to 6pm for 46 weeks a year, children will not attend over the 6 weeks summer holidays. For these placements parents can opt out of the voluntary consumable charge of 80p per hour by providing all necessary consumables for their own child, please ask for a list of items required. Alternatively, you can choose to pay the consumable charge which would be £20 per week, £4 per session. Please indicate on your registration if you wish to apply for one of these places.
Supported 2-year-old Funding of 15 hours per week – Children can attend WDN for 3 afternoons a week (1pm to 5pm) for the full 51 weeks of the year. For these placements nursery will provide all consumables without charge. Please indicate on your registration if you wish to apply for one of these places.
Alternatively we offer the funding flexibly over the sessions/days you require in blocks of 2.5 hours which can be taken in a variety of combinations, subject to availability, the minimum funded hours that can be taken in a day is 2.5 hours (1 block) and the maximum funded hours in a day is 10 hours (4 blocks). Our funding blocks are offered at the following times 8am to 10.30am; 10.30am to 1pm; 1pm to 3.30pm and 3.30pm to 6pm. All hours taken are subject to our hourly consumable charge of 80p. Any additional hours taken above the funded allowance are charged at our hourly rate inclusive of consumable charge, which as from September 2025 will be £7.50 per hour. All children from the term after their 3rd birthday will be eligible for 15 government funded hours, however some will be entitled to an additional 15 hours please check your eligibility.
Funding is available for 38 weeks of the year for the remaining 13 weeks of the year the full fees are payable on the booked sessions. We do however offer the possibility of stretching the funding over the full 51 weeks. Please note that we do not offer term time only placements.
Change in sessions/leavers
If, for any reason, you wish to withdraw your child, we would appreciate one month’s notice. As previously mentioned we are non-profit making organisation and try to keep our register as full as possible. Any session changes will be accommodated as soon as possible.
